How do you set email notifications for topic reply and private messages?

if you go to your messages there is a a tab top right were you can get to your "preferances".
can set a thing up so you get emails sent when you get PM'd from there.
as for topic replies...
the only way you can get emails is if you "bookmark" the thread. an option at top left of the thread.
and then you go to your "profile" and select "bookmarks".
then "manage bookmarks" and from there you can set up emails.
make sence?
