Hey Guys, I've complete stripped my 140Z, It's a shell, I want to get all the bits refurbed now. The car sat in Gibraltar so every bolt was seized, oh it was a treat unlike any other, metric, imperial, japanese imperial size, Heads snapping all day long. An inlet manifold bolt snapped inside the cylinder head so I was wondering, I've watched youtube videos and dont feel that confident, If anyone was swinging by for a cash reward would they like to join me for amateur hour in my cramped garage and to help me strip the engine?! Get the engine TDC etc? So I can get the cylinder head off to a machine shop to get the broken bolt removed It's a big ask but to say I'd be grateful would be an understatement and I'd compensate with money. From one Datsun enthusiast to another thank you!!!

Hey guys, normally with strut inserts their held in with a huge threaded hex nut that will come out with a decent adjustable wrench or stilsons on these there's nothing to grip, i might take them down to my local garage to get them out but any thoughts, has anyone seen these on a datsun before? These look like they come out with a spindle lock the type you get to change a disc on an angle grinder?

Hey Guys, I've had the engine and gearbox out of my 140z. Before soda blasting and welding as it's coming up to winter in England I'm going to start replacing every bolt as there all seized and replacing them with all new copper greased ones will makes everything smoother. So this isn't my first rodeo ... I bought a selection of 7/16" 3/8" M10, M12 bolts... The radius rod ends are held on to the front valance by a bracket, I replaced those bracket bolts with 7/16" ones... That's as far as I got... I couldn't even tell you what the cross member bolt sizes are, Not a clue on the steering idler arm bolts... If there's no female threaded parts on the car i'm just going to replace the bolts with stainless steel m10 and m12 as I doubt the Datsun police will get me! But where there's threaded parts on the car has anyone got any bolt sizes they can recommend that are useful for a 120y b210 rebuild. This car is a mish-mash of Japanese and South African parts I suspect. Thanks Jerome

Hi thanks for getting back to me, Yeah it was Jon, I've been brutally honest as well as Jon, He's as straight as a roman road and a thoroughly nice chap. The money's not an issue, I'm good with a socket set and and an average welder, I just need a few days to think it over as I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Any ideas why its been left to get into this state and no-one else has taken it on? Can you still get cills for a b210? Thanks

Hey guys, I was leaving work the other day in Croydon and I saw a 140y go buy and I lost my Sh*t as I couldn't remember the last time I saw one!! I decided I'd like one. Looking around I saw this 140z, I drove 4 hours to see it as I was serious about it, it's ripe for restoration and will require a methodic and timely restoration and somebody not getting scared so easily. I think I'm the man for the job, there's pictures on google images of it and a few mixed stories of when it got imported but it just seems to be getting passed around from pillar to post, can anyone shed light on it's history. I've heard it might be an original 140z or a 140 with a body kit but looking inside at all the rounded dials and that it does look genuine. Thanks in advance for your replies Attachments:
