cheers reece.
so to clear it up, if fitting S130 legs to your B110 pickup
you used the B310 lower arms, balljoints and steering arms? did you use the B110 or B310 tension rods?
what effect did it have on the track width?
have you changed to a larger master cylinder? (i know your cars a later 1991 B110 so the brake system may be quite a bit different from an early 70's Datsun...)
oh and hope the parts/panel hunting is going well?

on my truck I've used B310 knuckles, lower arms and S13 adjustable camber top mounts. my 280zx struts are shortened using mark 1 golf gti inserts. in that case banzey you should be ok too...camber tops may be needed as used above

The tension rods are identical and the B310 lower arms are about an inch longer.
The master cylinder is sufficient for the larger brakes on my later truck.

but did it make much difference to the track width? not a lot to be honest, I think the b310 lower arms are essential as I reckon with the 280zx struts and and standard B110 lower arms even with the S13 tops mountes adjusted right in the camber would be positive.

i just found out some usefull info regarding B310 and A10 lower arms. it appears that the arms themselves are the same and the difference between the B110 and B310/A10 is the balljoints. on the left is B110, on the right is B310. so rather then replace the whole bottom arm of your B110, you just use the B310/A10 ball joint. the difference is not just in the length thou. the B110 ball joint has a smaller taper bolt. thats why you need to use B310/A10 balljoints, as they have a larger taper bolt that fits the B310/A10 steering arm. which is needed to bolt to the larger datsun struts. Reece. do you still have your old B120 lower arms? i haven't compared any of this myself. just finding stuff out via the web.

Pretty sure they are not the same bolt pattern, B110 balljoints are tiny!

I was thinking same...did some markets come with b110 upgraded suspension that is basically the same as b210 ? When I looked at b110 balljoints they did seem tiny in comparison to pa10 units. This was during the 1200 rally car build many years ago

B110 and early b210 take an H1000 joint Late B210 (disc) take an A8600/A8625 joint, which also fits 610,710, and I think 240/260Z late drum B210 takes an H7400 joint. B310 and A10 take a W5000 joint. I have no idea what the B122 truck had , but reece still has them.

have you a H1000 and W5000 you could compare side by side? just to clear up the bolt pattern. if they are the same pattern, it means you'd only need the A10/B310 lower ball joint to convert B110/early B210 to the larger struts. only other thing needed would be the steering arm, which could be got from any of the bigger datsuns. i know not all these are the same, so some care would be needed to check the steering ratio and ackerman angle. and also there are different size holes where the track rod end joint bolts on. picture of the reason why you need to change the bottom balljoint to fit larger (280zx etc) struts. it's because the balljoint fits the steering arm. and that in turn matches the larger struts. the steering arm on the left is B310, B110 on the right. difference is the bolt holes that attach to the strut. 80mm hole centers and 12mm holes verses 75mm centers and 10mm holes on the B110 arm.
