How long is a 280zx strut overall? I don't know what model the inserts were intended for though Heres the measurement of the 280ZX strut from the base to the top of the securing nut......

But how long is it overall, from base right to end of fully extended insert? the total length will dictate how low it is and the strut length dictates how low it will go without bottoming out.

Unclesilvia , we are in the process of cutting and fitting 280zx struts to our B310 , using the same civic coilover kit. How do the springs feel stiffness wise please. We are trying to gauge whether or not to cut the legs down , the car will be sprinted so much stiffer springs will be fitted . in the pics with the car on the ground showing ride height is this but with the coils at the bottom as in the build up shots?? Thanks

That's alotta panels getting replaced ,, good on you for taking up the challenge. i know how daunting just starting really is, my sons 78 wagon needs a few sections replaced and man just when you think ,,we're gonna do it ,, we totally chicken out.
