still quite sad how shortlived most of these Datsuns were, however that is what makes seeing them around 35-40 years old more impressive, when most didn't see 15.
Granada tail lamps on that custom one are utterly hideous!

Have to agree with will that granada mk2 tail lamps do not suit the 620 ! No doubt the star of the uk custom scene in the seventies was XJB 297T, the yellow 4WD conversion which made cover/centrefold of custom car / hot car magazine in 1979. According to dvla it was last taxed in 1985 so we can only assume it died a rusty death .Very sad to think it went from cover car to scrap in just 6 years, unless it was put away in a dusty barn and is waiting to be discovered..... would make a great story if it did survive !

OMG i remember that red pinto powered one. I went to look at it in Redhill, it was a filler filled POS with the engine bodged in and the bloke wouldn't drop his price so i left it there. That would have been in about 92/93? I wouldnt be surprised if it got scrapped shortly after, i've certainly never seen it since. I wanted a 620 ever since those days and only ever finally got to own one recently because they are so scarce over here! My King Cab truck imported from USA.
