I know they say its 100% accurate but I cant believe there is only 1 Datsun bluebird registered or sorn in the UK. ? from any era ? that does not sound logical. Anyone know of one or more ?
I was checking my own model/version but as it wasn't avail in the UK (bluebird 411 of 1967) and so its not even recognising it, and so I assume I have the only one in the country. can anyone let me know if that's wrong ?
Don.

There is 1 160B BLUEBIRD MKII, 2 DATSUN 180B BLUEBIRD SSS MKII, 1 DATSUN BLUEBIRD (no model stated), 6 DATSUN BLUEBIRD 1.8GL 5SP, 1 BLUEBIRD GL and 1 DATSUN BLUEBIRD SSS AUTO according to howmanyleft, it claims there are only 5 Violets, yet I have 5 alone! I think the results are inaccurate but I, like lots of people can't be bother to sorn and as they are not on the road, no need to tax.
I do own the only Fiat 128 Sports Coupe according to howmanyleft which IS sorned yet I know of another two! So yes, inaccurate

Gives a rough idea though.
How about this Escort Mexico is worth thousands and everyone after them, so why would there be 6000 in 2005 and now only 500? Why would 5,500 be scrapped? Any explanations?

5,500 Stolen and exported? When did the DVLA start to take a hard stance on SORN cars with no tax? That might account for the huge drop? My Bluebird SSS Coupe won't be on the system. Tax and duty paid but the car's not been registered yet. 5 Violets? Guess you can't have enough of a good thing

good points chaps, annoyingly inaccurate tosh though isn't it. I was surprised at the little graph they give for the bluebird which shows a rapid decrease in just a few short years. I wonder how many were lost to the scrappage scheme ?

These figures are for sorned and taxed vehicles so the missing Mexicos are a total mystery!

Looking on the DVLA site, not that many Datsun Bluebirds were scrapped:
DATSUN Bluebird 1 DATSUN BLUEBIRD GL 1 Datsun Bluebird GL Auto 1
3 in total on the scheme. One would assume all the Nissan Bluebirds are the newer versions:

For what period? Imagine sending a Mexico log book off and ticking the scrapped box! Like burning money!

Stupid idea that scrappage scheme! Good for new car sales, they did amazingly well, but lets not kid ourselves that it was in anyway whatsoever good for the environment.

Escort Mexico figures probably include that '90s version as well as Mk1/Mk2 models.
Those Bluebird figures seem far too low.

I see a 140J Violet was scrapped in the 2009 scrappage scheme link
How could they!
