It is on its way back from Scotland finally!
Can't wait. ETA 11PM
Any A10 anaraks, I will be posting pics when it arrives! Can't wait to see high back seats in person! Looking forward to cardboard wrapped panels! Brand new bumper, Weber twin DCOE manifold, New headlamps, brand new doors etc! Brand new bonnet! Mystery period alloys (not seen yet, in fact, all I have seen are 16 photos on the front radiator panel!!)

Well it arrived and I would describe the condition as the same as the Northumberland Greenhouse car 160JI am very happy with it but it would take a great deal of work to put it back. It really is rotten, in fact, much more rotten that the Blue one above looks, sills floor, interior has clearly been damp at some point as steering wheel rusty! Seat belts rusty! No regrets though just comes in 5th place, obviously the parts were a great find and there are lots of perfect bits (uncracked dash, plastics I needed etc). Question is, do I use my brand new panels on this car so I have: 1 perfect one and (excluding the saloon) two OK ones (NNP, BEF) and one bad one (my other rotten blue one) or do I do say NNP with the new panels and have: 1 perfect one (NNP) and (excluding the saloon) one OK one (BEF) and two bad ones (my other rotten blue one) I just feel it may be better to chose the worst one and use the panels where they are REALLY needed and then patch up the others? Very happy but really rust holes so big, you can put your hand through!

Hi, Andrew. Not sure if we should congratulate you or not unless you managed to get it for about £100. The other post says that car originally went for £860 so, what's the story with yours? Did your heart rule your head and just how bad is it? Post some pics, please, as I do find these cars strangely intriguing!
If you are able to let go of some parts I'm still after the brake master cylinder electric floats.

Paid £1500 plus £500 delivery plus £240 renting storage up in Scotland for three months! Heart ruling there but who cares, I don't smoke and I think those people are crazy!
I got a brand new bonnet, two doors and bumpers in the box and enough bits were NOT missing on this car to make up 1 good car free from cracked plastics etc, got strange wella chrome minilights, never seen anything like it before (although they are rusty).
Still don't have one good shell amongst them all!
Would pay good money for a good bare shell, but who would ever have such a thing? (PM)
I am very happy with what I got and happy with the price.
My final note, look at Mk1 Escort owners!! We are able to play a lot cheaper than them! This car would be worth four thousand if it were an Escort!
Not sure which shell to do still!

I really think it's game over (for now and only because I have better but was buying this with the intention of using the shell) with this shell. I think BEF833T is better or NNP. Still, just hoovering it out to take it for it's last voyage down the road and back! Another A10 with no clutch pedal! This time there nothing there so in goes some cooking oil (run out of brake fluid) What are those wheels? Remind me of a Cortina that has simular melting in the woods near me! I was disappointed that it did'nt start instantly, but went instead after about 10 revolutions. All hoovered out, wouldn't want to get stopped and the policeman see all the squirrels acorn shells that littered the inside! High back seats When you slam the door, the whole side shakes, I'm sure lots of you know this feeling. There is no longer any rigidity! This will be something to do with it As you fold the seat back up, it actually almost rips out the floorpan!

Looks similar to a car I bought for £40 back in 1994. Those were the days....
Wheel looks like it's a Cyclone.

Yes thanks, they are cyclones and they will be restored and rechromed.
A pillar gone, floor all sills and chassis rails finished, all could be done but even opening the boot there are holes all up the channels. In 2015 this is not worth doing so I will shelve it and keep for the future.

Well look at it another way, you have enough parts there to get at least two complete 160JSSS and parts to keep them running

They ALL have the same problems, perfect interiors, rotten floors!
I will be making one mint saloon from my white one, one mint one from BEF833T Green one. I will definately get them ALL on the road at some point (apart from yellow one I am hopefully picking up which is mainly brown dust with glass and aluminium bits.
I will never use one for parts, just swap to make good and bad cars.
This has strange seatbelts that don't retract! and chrome bumpers.

I have just made a completely mad but definite decision to get the Silver one on the road.
I took it for a drive and it goes well
I will make the sills up by copying one I have and using a folding machine I found in a scrap yard, repair the door and rear arches using metal from other cars. All will be done on a tight budget and this car WILL be at Castle Coombe.
I am just on my way out to start stripping the carpet and seats and wiring out to start cutting and welding.
Hoping to get the car up and ready on a budget of £30 (Red bull and grinding discs).
Does anyone have a front bumper (preferably bent and rusty)? Also need a petrol flap as this one has evaporated!
I don't want to use any filler. What modern car has the same size lamps? Peraduo Kenari might fit and I have one laying around somewhere!
Time will be tight as I also trying to finish my 200bhp 1.3 A Series Turbo Morris Marina for the show in about a months time!

I really like the plan to get this one on the road! I still have my old bent bumper somewhere. Absolutely no rust on it though... Mine also came with no clutch.

The whole underneath is really truly flaky rotten!
Nothing to grind back to weld! Going to have to make this beast some space frame chassis or cut the bottom of a another car off! Like that red 160J with the 200sx bottom!
I will start cutting up some box section to strengthen and mot it.

This car is now up and running well! Bends a bit while your driving it but ridiculously quick for some reason! Got to get them all up and running and start a weldathon to get it through the MOT
