Couple of steps forward ,, installed the harness out of the white car, side to side front to back. Old "painless" wiring harness .. Why not use that you say?? Welp when i started tracing wires i put a B+ to a wire marked left tail lights ,, the starter,, started turning,,, touched B+ to wire marked heater motor,,, again starter turned.. That's enough. out with the new. And in with the old. Buddy came up with a factory service manual copied and enlarged a wiring diagram

Then after installing the wiper motor system,, again out of white car as this car didn't come with one,,, I think i solved why the wiring caught fire in the first place.. The wiper arm pivot was rusted solid, took 2 days of heating cooling to break this thing loose. It was a miracle it didn't break. un-wrapped most of loom to make sure that old thing wasn't broken.. Dash is in but i forgot to take picture BUT just when i thought i would be putting my "thing" down all over town tonight........... Apparently i got distracted by this old Indian that was hanging out with me in garage today hoping to see something catch fire,,,,,,,,,,, i left the key on.. Coil popped and sprayed oil all over the dang engine compartment. that's some serious stress cracks at the base of the tower.

Me and a couple Indians went to breakfast yesterday morning,,,, we are all so old we don't partake but thought it would be funny to take a picture in front of neighboring businesses sign... LOL After breakfast we went and checked out "the farm" and I also made a deal on a 2door butterscotch B210 and 80 A10 wagon in a field of Datsuns yesterday.. No pictures as i can't get cars till about Nov so don't wanna give away to much info till then. But i am very happy

Come to find out also,, was the fact 410/411 brake parts are the same as roadster so i just used my shoes and springs and that saved a couple bucks,, i also used 71 510/1600 rear wheel cylinders because "roadster" ones are about $125. and 510 ones can be shipped to my house for less than $10. each . only difference is the roadster/411 cylinders are SAE and 510 ones are metric thread,, i was running all new lines anyway so changing one nut on each end out wasn't that big a deal. Fit right in One more thing is replacing the original axle with this 190 gives me quite a few more ratio options.. Since original was 4.37 this differential is 3.90 which has tamed the 60+ mph teeth rattle ALOT... Thinking of going 3.70 but those are kinda hard to find I also cut 1 and a 1/2 coils out of the front to lower it down a bit how it sits now I have done other minor things like install new timing chain with updated rubber seal front cover ,,as opposed to OG leaky felt NLA one .. Fixed driver side window so it isn't simply wedged in to keep it up.

2 years ago was last update and honestly haven't done anything but change 205/60/13--215/60/13 tires that i am certain i bought for an RX2 i sold in the 80s,,, for NEW,,, as in brand new 215/50/13 and move fronts to 185/60/13 to match height better.. It's been driven at every chance latest trip was annual 4+ hour drive to show in Canada.. I'm thinking about 7000. total counting running around locally. Probably going to cut another 1/2 coil to bring front down closer to front tires Anyways,,,,,, i thought it looked lonely. so last February(?) i traded a 71 1200 for another one to keep it company. Take into account both cars are wearing their winter wheels and tires in these pics. 67 SSS ,, came stock with roadster R16 and heavier duty tranny rear differential to handle torque It's quite a bit more powerful,, as it is a R1600,, stroked out to a 2000 with high lift cam (don't remember numbers) a short 720 truck trans with diesel bellhousing and Weber 45 carbs.. It drives more like a 2 stroke motor bike than the J13 red car for sure. Needs some wiring cleaned, up but ran to a Datsun show 2 1/2 hours down freeway in June no problem.

Lovely! And now you can share the mileage between them. I think you need to put stainless steel wiper blades on them to match the arms (....it's just my thing .... OCD...)

I don't think it's OCD,, the plastic wipers are definitely out of place on there for sure.. I ordered a set for a 55 F100 ford ( as they looked right size) but they were just a bit to long.. Since wipers go at each other, and hit if just a tiny bit too long. Datsun helped out quite a bit with underhood adjustability ( those bolts loosen on arms have slots to move in out independent of each side) ,, but as you see on red car,, just a tiny bit to long of wiper, and you have to park higher. Pics of 411 for thread of no building. This was area just north of us,, local meet-up,, in i January(?) Pretty good turn out considering it was raining and just above freezing link to more pics of some pretty cool Datsuns and junk imgur.com/a/tHuecOur,, local Datsun meet/BBQ at Captain Testicles ,, a friend's powder coating shop. Link to pics of that meet,,, imgur.com/a/9EUdjHp I don't have any clear pictures of 411 so here's a picture of one of my sons and his A10 wagon... haha A Hotrod show we went to ,, not sure why in gods fart i parked like that. A cruise up into mountains to a indian casino ALL NISSAN show Link to those pics here,,, imgur.com/a/ZpWiAPg << there's some seriously cool/rare Nissans in that group And and a cruise up to a waterfalls that is way the hell out and back,, but somewhat local,, lol pic link.. imgur.com/a/N0yQOAYAnd last real show/meet it went to was at end of August when me and my neighbor went up to Vancouver BC Canada to the All Japanese Classic . It's about a 5 hour trip up freeway and it did it pretty easy. Pics link ( warning!!) lots of Toyotas , haha imgur.com/a/0mZbml2 We camp just south of Canadian border as show has roll in time of 8am There was other stuff but this summer was a busy one for many reasons. .

Good post! Nice that you all get together and go out for a drive. Over here (UK) we only seem to meet up at shows (in the summer season) - shame really
Particularly like the spectacular waterfalls... isn't mother nature GREAT?
