There's been quite a few events this year with a really good Datsun/Nissan turn out - and therefore loads of owners taking photos of the cars. These photos are really for those who have not seen them on the Datsun Club UK Facebook page.

Thanks lots of cool shots! But do you know much about the white cedric hardtop two door? i only knew of a gold one and thought that was it for the uk.

The Cerdic Hardtop is a South African built car, imported into the UK fairly recently. I didn't get a chance to chat with the owner about the car, but hopefully we'll see more of it over the summer.

A quick update from the latest event, this one was at Donington Park Curcuit - A number of us were invited to the Retro Japanese Magazine stand for the second Japfest event. This will hopefully be a continuous theme for the future - which can only be a good thing to increase awareness of our cars and the hard work we put into them. The vast majority of cars where from the 90's or modern cars and a handful on the cusp of being collectable but these clearly were the hits of the show!

Nice! Good to see the (P10?) primeras making an appearance at 25 years old. I guess they qualify for Classic status/insurance now....? Nice cars without loads of unnecessary sensors....

Lots of great photos Darren. Goes to show how much we do still have here in the UK, and the variety of it.

Interest in old Japanese cars has never been stronger. We've known that they're good cars for years, so it's good that people are appreciating the cars as much as we do.

Nigel has already put up a selection of shots from the Festival of the Unexceptional event at Stowe House in Buckinghamshire but I'll also add a few of my shots. Not only that but Mash's 1983 Datsun-Nissan B11 Sunny won 1st prize! How's that for some recognition that these fine cars have been accepted into the classic car world? Well done Mark, a well deserved winner.

A leisurely trip down to Beaulieu to attend the Simply Japanese event yielded these shots. Typically most of the material there was post-1992 cars, but a few gems lurking within.































Maybe worth getting a club stand for next year? The B210, C130 and 610 were getting a lot of attention!

A small selection from this years well turned out Retro Rides event. It's possibly the closest we have to an annual meet and as ever, really good to catch up with people I haven't seen for a while. Typically, I'm running around trying to photograph everything and I'm sure I missed a lot but here are a selection of cars for those who are not on the ever popular social media channels.





























































I believe there were 29 cars on the club stand, with at least another 15 around the show. I still need to go through a few more Nissans to add here, but if you'd like to see some of the other cars at the event please have a look here. Thanks!

Wow, great to see the C130 coupe again! I think it was back in 2003 that I first went to see it, even then it had been off-road since 1991! I found out about it through my local banger racer/exporter but couldn't take it on myself.
