So the story goes like this,, About 2 years ago my buddy sends me a text about a A10 in a field posted on the facebook .. i follow his link and a dude that is into scooping up hoards of 68-73 510s ,, posts on facebook asking whats a car like this worth (A10) .. i immediately send a message telling him i have been looking for that exact style car for a few years now and if/when you scoop all those cars up i will positively BUY that car.. He says , ok i'll let you know when i get deal hammered out..... great... At least 2 years pass and i figure he never came to a deal on all the 510s.. Or they scraped the A10.. Last October i'm out on coast harvesting cranberries at my parents,, and i get like 5-6 texts ( very bad reception out there) saying that guy is selling the car.. So when i get home, i send the guy a message,, again.. ( noting my original message was still in FB messenger) He sends back.. "it's sold" Now what i really wanted to send back was "YOU DIRTY C---S---C--R piece of S--- !! ,, but the 53 year old in me sent back,,,,, "ok,,, thanks" Forward about 2 weeks and i again get wall of texts,, but this time it's from dude selling car.. He says the henpecked chump that said he would buy said he couldn't manage finances,, he said name so i know his wife told him no,, cuz he's a squat to pee. So beings i was still out on coast i drove my dads prius home,,( 1 hour 45 minutes ), picked boys off school bus, then drove 2 1/2 hours (one way) and paid $350. for this thing,, He said he was picking up Datsun junk north of me that weekend so i got car delivered for extra $100. it's so far my truck would have used almost that in gas, and food $450. delivered ,, cool I bet you are wondering,, what kinda pile of junk does $450. get you in America these days,, well TahDaaah !! Car as it was found ,, strangely enough, floorboards have very, very little rust .. Not sure how though. These are pics from when i ran down and paid for it.. At some point it was poked in the back like a obstinate donkey but i have since got a "new" tailight to replace. Most of the rust is on that panel there. Automagic transmishon L20b and a whole lotta pine needlesAs you can see car was bopped in front at some point and fender was ,, uhm,,, "fixed" The tailight on right side for some reason didn't have this bulb holder attached and for some damn reason ,, there wasn't one in car,, aaand tail light i found at my secret stash junkyard,.. didn't have one on it either.. Might have to jerry rig something with push in bulb holders... Getting it running for the 2 1/2 hour trip south to the annual Datsun show/campout the second weekend in June.. As we have no MOF/MOT nazi's ,, cars can be somewhat funky and still easily deemed road worthy.. Anyways,, there you go

Good post and great find (I have an A10...) It looks totally saveable. Are you allowed to ditch those "girders" on the front/rear and put a nice slim bumper in it's place? Do you like the wheels? (that means... "I don't like the wheels"... sorry)

Yep, we can even go without any bumper. But those smaller more attractive bumpers are either really expensive as they come out of Asia or the UK . There is affordable ones coming out of Mexico but those are pretty shoddy at best It is possible the car might get them

80 something ZX non turbo wheels on it now. Have couple sets of ZX turbo swastikas and Enkie 92s of a few different sizes but not sure if we are lowering or not yet.. If the boy keeps it ,,, we have a 83 200zx rear end ( disc brakes/ axles the same size as 521/620/720) and install a Ka24e .. just gonna work bugs out of it for now.

Nice! Glad it's getting used. It does look quite tidy. What size engine does it have (in cc's?)and what have you done to it since the last post?
