Hi.....just joined today as I have come accross a LHD example of the above which are certainly rare here in France. Although into 70's cars (I have Daf and Renault) am not familiar with Datsuns so would appreciate any guidance. The only obvious problem is that both sills are badly rotted and the arches aren't good but all else including floorpan and trunk floor seem solid. Is the sill repair likely to be a cut out, make new parts and weld on job or is it likely to indicate all sorts of horrors behind? Aside from current politics are diesels acceptable, desirable or to be avoided. Owner is asking for 2,000 euros. 130,000 kms or 82,000 showing on the clock. Apparently some history but haven't seen it yet. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, banda. If you save this car it will certainly get some attention. All the bodywork can be repaired at a cost but the interior is likely to be difficult to find if it is rotten. Nissans/Datsuns will just keep going when other make engines etc. will, generally, have given up. Personally, I wouldn't give that sort of money for a car with so much bodywork to do. I would suggest that 1,000 euros would be a likely price. Some owners think that because the car is rare it is worth lots of money. This one isn't. Just my opinion but I hope it helps.
