Not strictly a Datsun, but a 1987 Nissan N13 Sunny saloon. I got this at the back end of 2011. A lovely lady had it for sale on the old Sunny Owners Club which I used to co-own and run. It had been her dad's who has passed away. She had no bites for months, and got to the point of needing the space so badly that she was going to scrap it. Not wanting that to happen, I offered her the money she would have received from the weigh-in, which she accepted. In the end, I got her for the cost of the transport up (Kent-Newcastle), as the lady decided to give me it for nowt, as long as I promised to look after it, and not sell it on etc. So it's a 1987 E plate N13 4 door saloon in gold, with only 52K on the clock. Totally solid from the looks of it, and the only advisory on the last MOT (just about zero miles done since) was for a defective number plate. Everything works, although with it being a 1.3GL, there isn't much to go wrong haha!. There is a nick to the top of drivers door, the rear bumper has some elderly parking marks and isn't sitting 100% level. The sunroof has a slight leek, and the headlining is a bit saggy. However, as stated, she seems solid enough, and although currentlt sorn'd, it starts first time, every time it's started which is about once a week in the work warehouse/yard. I plan to get her on the road in Spring 2013. Some pics... Arriving from Kent Still needs a clean On the day I got her After a clay-bar and polish.. And with some of her former stablemates... Unfortunately, I don't have the B11 or B12 anymore.

That looks very fit and well, and fresh round the edges etc. With a bit of spit and polish (and bumper goo) it will look spiffing indeed. Look forward to seeing it. Just a shame you didnt let me know - my Bluebird could have posed in the group pics too! Top deal too. Ed

probly got some new old stock bits and bobs for this model Let me know what you've got lying around Will. I dropped the N13 in with my mechanic mate on Friday for an MOT. He'll do it tomorrow or Tuesday. Will be interesting to see if it goes through without much trouble. It's only done 200 miles since it's last MOT pass, but that was 3 years ago!!

Well, she flew through her MOT today. Only 4 advisories: Slightly sticky rear brake Slightly corroded brake disc Rear NS door won't open Rear number plate slightly faded
Time for a full oil, plugs and filters service, and she'll be tearing up the streets of the North from April 1st!! Shame the Ryhope meet is on the 31st March.

I believe it only needs one rear door to function ok for an MOT.

my 280C nearly failed on a non working rear door as the external handle was a little sticky. lucky i was there and managed to fix it as tester said he'd have to fail it.
mind you, MOT testers do seam to vary quite a lot.

Door is fine now. Working without problems. Gave the Sunny an internal valet in prep for getting her taxed on 1st April. Gorgeous brown loveliness! Better...

Can't wait.

Yay, it's back on the roads!! After 3 years of slumbers, the N13 is back tearing up the roads of the NE!! (well, it's pootling about anyway ) I did 30 miles in it yesterday, and it did the job. A bit 'tight', but I guess some regular driving and fresh fuel will loosen it up a bit. Polished it to within an inch of it's life on Monday so it looked it's best going back on the roads (seem to be struggling to post pics for some reason)
