Glad you got it in the end. People might not have thought the same a few years ago, but for what is now such a rare model that's got to be worth the effort of getting sorted. Good luck!

Ok its been a while, for the past few months i have been enjoying the car, really enjoying it, I am pleasantly surprised how good this car is, after fixing the exhaust, idle issue and a service it has been brilliant and is actually quite fast for what it is. The amount of times people have pulled out to overtake only for me to pull away, brilliant. The car was faultless on a trip up to the highlands, can just see me in front of astra, And as it stood before coming off the road, But now it is off the road for welding and a couple of other bits and i have to say its a typical datsun, lots of rust and will take a while to get through, ill let the pics do the talking, Before, After, All this was covered in underseal until i chipped it off, covered in jenolite to kill any remaining rust after grinding it down, Primered, Boot, just surface rust, Dont have any paint in right colour just now so wheel paint will do, you wont see it anyway, I also discovered some rust on the rear passenger door so decided to take it off........ erm, I got this far and there is still more to cut out! Thankfully the car was zeibarted from new as this has kept it going just, its saved most of the underside but was close to being scrapped. This is how it stands just now but i have a tough time ahead of me.

Got the same car just started using it on historic club mans hrcr rallies great fun to drive ultra reliable so, which of the six styles of rally do you enter? Have you made some mods to the Stanza? Just looked up the website www.hrcr.co.uk/ and it looks fun. I guess I'd opt for the scenic tours....

Keep us posted IN THE MOTORSPORT section(with pics). This looks fun! Are they standard road cars or do they have to be modified?
