Latest aquisition is this Datsun 310 (Cherry) - one owner car imported from Canada in great condition ... not one spot of rust!!! This is actually an automatic with the E15 engine - bought for the wife as she doesn't enjoy the manual 'box ... Don't really like the metal bumpers but I'm leaving them on for the moment ... certainly "defend" the Datsun from other "obstacles"

Nice buy Can you post a picture of engine bay and interior. I'd like to see if there are any differences to our versions here in Finland.

Very special modification for sure - automatic transmission with E15 engine and N10 body...also left and right mirrors, chrome bumpers and trims, ventilated bonnet, mud flaps.....surely top version of its time. Maybe some of the last Datsun cherrys which were prodused. I don't really like the back of the car without "DATSUN" badge in the middle, but anyway it's rare and interesting

Certainly an interesting one to play 'spot the difference' with. We didn't get that style of mirror, but on our late ones with OHC engines we got a rear wash/wipe. No E15 engines for us either in the UK. And how has it got no rust?! Mine was going at 6-7yrs old...
Well done for taking on something a bit unusual.

In Finland we had GL-versions with ventilated hood, mudflaps, left and right mirror wich are adjustable from inside etc. Also all engine versions were available except A10 (A12, A14, E10, E13 and E15). We also had a version with same kind of rear side window remote opening system as 3-door N12 Cherry has where switches are located in the rear of center console. The one I know has all grey interior with some red decorations in doors and seats.

This car really made me smille and made my day good. Good to see a different view of my favorite model of Datsun. The seats are really "S" class. Like very much the steering wheel too, it's different a little bit, like all other details - not much but enough to make this car unique. Funny why the clock and the rpm indicator were removed. And where is the manual choke light? Is it with automatic choke? I see different air filter box. From this sight of the picture I spot automatic switch of winter/summer air intake - normally it's manual switch. I loved the car already...would be glad to learn more about it - history, are there other differences in the engine?... Maybe the one thing you need is a Datsun Clarion radio for the model - I have one if you need....

Yes it does have automatic choke ... and a lot of anti-smog filters and valves, etc As for the radio, someone cut-out the dashboard to fit this modern radio ... I guess I'll just leave it for the moment During the last two days the Datsun underwent a "peeling" treatment ... I think the results are magnificent!!!

That rear seat is totally new to me. And we never hade N10 with vinyl seats, all our versions are with fabric seats.
