f I remember rightly, we used to own this web site but it lapsed and was then bought up by someone who, it appears, has to put something on it to justify "owning it". I also recall, some years ago, there was a news item about a website Baa.com that was selling woolens and sheep-related things. They then sold it at huge profit to BAA (British Airports Authority) who wanted then site name. I can only presume that the new "owner" expects to make money by selling it onto a Datsun related organisation. Yeah, right!

Domain name registrars and domainers (domain speculators) have scripts that will pick up domain names with traffic history as they fail to renew and put content on them to monetise. The retention of Datsun content is interesting as it is an attempt to show legitimate ownership/use of the domain name should someone (the club, Nissan etc.) wish to dispute ownership with Nominet, the .uk registry. Interesting development; when I used to chase down domainers for corporates they didn't bother with putting relevant content on but obviously the rules have tipped further in favour of IP owners. It is sad I know this and sadder I have spent time sharing it with you, but it reminds me why I changed jobs.
