Datsun 180b 810 wagon1 Update (Read 1,241 times)

After some hard research i managed to pick up another 180b, its my first wagon and am extremely happy to add to my collection. She is a 1 owner with only 22,000 on the clock. with stack loads of history. The only real issues was the paint as she had been painted before but the match was far to out. She did have some rust issues along the bottom of the doors and wheel arches. The chrome work came out well after some hard polishing and the engine and gearbox are excellent.

wheels looked spot on but the height was letting her down, so down she went




sprayed the headlight bits black


still was not happy with the paint work so work began




finished and at the show and fitted some riveted number plates for the finishing touch.

Fabulous, just fabulous. I couldn't believe the condition when I saw it on Sunday. The interior is mint. A real credit to you Ricky (as they all are!)

Out of interest:
1) What's the original colour code?
2) Where did you get the plates made up?
3) Is that a dealer sticker in the rear window, and where did it come from if so? Be great to see a photo of it if possible (same as on your other estate).

Well done Ricky it all looks really really well.
Did you paint the panels using rattle /spray /aerosol cans?
Maybe you can write up a "Ricky's guide to paintwork"? I could really benefit from your tips & techniques as I am sure could others.
