Nissan Bluebird T72 GSXI (Read 320 times)

A month or so ago I was lucky to pick this one up from here. Made an offer then a few weeks later the owner's Son got in touch and accepted as he was being messed about.

Story is that the Owner gave up driving I think about 5 years ago and parked her up in the garage and there she slept. Unfortunately the owner is being re homed and the son Greg needed to move the Bluebird on. Greg's Dad was the owner from new.

So once l got her home there was a list of things, she didn't start. So l've finally got her ready for MOT on Tuesday. I've replaced the alternator, water hoses, rear water hoses (metal ones), tyres, brakes, Battery. The paint was completely flat so a days worth of wax on wax off. Unfortunately I've not got pics from before. She drives absolutely beautiful. The best Bluebird I've driven and I've had loads. Being my first Bluebird auto I'm shocked how smooth the gear changes are. The condition is stunning inside and out, the spare wheel is the original GSXI spare which is still brand new with the Dunlop SP7 tyre. I've attached some photos below just for a quick look. I've not got interior pics yet as that's next on the cleaning list for tomorrow.

That looks great, well done for stepping in as this is the sort of car that could so easily just go off for scrap. Injected engine must make it feel pretty quick.

I was more than happy with the auto 'box that I had on a 1.8 GS T72 several years ago.

thanks guys, I drove her around the area today and I just cannot explain how smooth and comfortable and a real pleasure to drive she really is. look at me so excited to tell you all. LOL. Valeted the inside today and now ready for the MOT tomorrow. Its been slow progress as ive got a bad case of sciatica so I have to fill my self up with pain killers before starting any kind of work. Never had one, but I'd always go for the hatchback. HOWEVER, this saloon just looks sooooooo good in red that you've changed my view. I think it MUST be something to do with the colours that has always put me off the saloons. Beautiful car.
