Any advice on this? Did it years ago on a Metro but was less concerned with saving the car long term... Wing is NOS with thin grey primer and lots of surface rust. What's the best way to go about making the repair last?
Inside: Should I prime or paint the inside of the wing or just cover in waxoyl or similar? Or how about brushing on some Hammerite? Got lots in the shed...
Outside: Is it better to get the outside painted prior to fitting or do it once it's on the car?
Also what about sealing along the seams - the original sealant is painted over so you can't see the seam. Any advice?
Thanks!

The advice I got from here was to use TigerSeal when I was sealing my windscreen as it would not take the paint off should I have to remove the screen. So I bought and used it. Good stuff, but it is black...?

If the wings got surface rust I'd wanna bare metal it and remove all rust before giving it a proper coat of primer then top coat on the underside before fitting. Bare metal the top too...

if the wings are bare metal better to etch prime then use either a high build primer or wet on wet primer then paint, the etch primer is most important it is an anti corrosive primer
