Im looking into changing the wheels my Laurel C130, i was initially looking into size 15x7 with a close to 0 ET as i could get away with, but now im thinking why not go 16x7 .... Anybody now if i would get away with a 16" with a low profile tyre to try and keep the rolling radius as close to normal as possible on the C130 ? ... Also would a 16" look daft and am i better sticking to a 15" ? ...

can you not try one? i think 16's might look ok but i belive that wheel style is much more important then wether you go for a 15 or 16 inch. you should have bought my rotas....

I think 15's myself. Old cars look wrong with too shallow a profile tyre.

I have a wheel in mind, they are also Rota's but a different style ... i have seen them on 240z's and other jap stuff and they look cracking. Al, you have no idea how close i was to buying your Rota's as i think they are stunning, it was there width that was putting me off, it was a long way to travel to then find out i got my measurements wrong .. lol

Zeros? they do look very nice... i was running 195 tyres on the 8 inch rotas so it gave me some clearance. but i was also using 20mm spacers even with zero offset. but then the rear camber on my laurel helped a lot ;D

I have a pic of a C130 sedan with them on so i know they will look just lush ;D The other set is Rota RB's ....

Selecting a set of wheels for any car is quite thought provoking There a a few things that will help determine the wheel spec Is the car lowered ? Are the arches standard? Do you mind rolling the inner lips of the arches to achieve clearance for wider wheels? Do you like the stock/subtle look or perhaps slightly modified look? Have you looked on the internet for other C130's that have been modified? In many cases you can get the wheel spec that someone else is using as a very good guide Then its a question of tyres...standard fitemnt/profile. what about low profile? stretched tyres ?... Have fun

Im know what your saying here, thats what is scaring me .. too much room for errors ... lol Selecting a set of wheels for any car is quite thought provoking There a a few things that will help determine the wheel spec Is the car lowered ? Not yet, but planning a 2" drop. Yip, and want to keep them that way. Do you mind rolling the inner lips of the arches to achieve clearance for wider wheels? As long as they are rolled in properly. Do you like the stock/subtle look or perhaps slightly modified look? Both TBH, but im going to go for the slightly modded look just now. Have you looked on the internet for other C130's that have been modified? In many cases you can get the wheel spec that someone else is using as a very good guide I have plenty of pics of C130's that i have for reference, most of them are severly lowered and running massive camber changes with is not for me, as i say a 2" drop with a deep dish wheel is enough for me. Then its a question of tyres...standard fitemnt/profile. what about low profile? stretched tyres ?... A slightly lower profile would be ok, nothing extreme though.

got any pics of the car as is? Im working offshore at the moment are we are not allowed such luxuries as putting a photo up .. lol ... infact its only on certain PC's that we are even allowed to view a photo never mind put one up !! ... lol .... they block all photo hosting sites out here. Mine is basically the same as Wills C130 at the moment. Im running standard suspension set up with a set of 14" Wolfraces.
