Hey all. How hard is it to find some info on the net these days, especially for this hateful piece of c*ap! Anyway has any of you guys and gals had a problem where after restarting the engine from normal operating temperature it starts to rev pretty high, easily close to 3000RPM? Don't think this problem is exclusive to the Vanette LD23 engine, have been told it could either be a water temperature sensor or a fuel cut off solenoid, correct or not I don't know? Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem? Could really use the help as there is no Haynes book of lies for this particular motor so I'm pretty stuck Much thanks. Bill

hi. calling it a hatefull piece of whatever is not really gonna help you get the advice or infomation you require from other owners... i'd guess it's the auto choke cutting back in. but have no idea how it's controlled if the idle is high when cold starting then i guess you could try adjusting the cold idle down. prob a screw on a lever on the pump. if it uses water temp to determin the idle, then maybe the water hoses on the pump have been disconected?

also can we assume this is a Vannette Cargo (not the earlier Vanette) as they had LD20 not LD23
