So after a late night trip on tuesday I finally got the rear quarter chops home. I had to leave passengers side as father in law went out and left his new van on drive right next to s12 and took his keys with him didn't fancy covering it in sparks he puts up with enough as it is So moved over to drivers side, which needs most of the arch repairing but the sill is in better shape. So first thing was to cut out all the rusty bits, I cut the outer arch bit off about 20mm up from the lip and peeled it off inner arch to get an idea of how much I need to chop off to get back to fresh steel. In the end I cut off about 5mm of inner arch and moved onto the donor panel. I then cut the inner arch off leaving me with a nice rust free outer panel section to let in. Like so So then it looked a bit miserable so I moved into the garage and made up the repair section to go at the front of wheel arch. Now raining so think i'll do some engine stuff!

Most of the engine swap over is done now, apart from fitting the spigot bearing, clutch and flywheel. Been raining on and off all day so not done a great deal today Chopped the grot out Cut a section of donor panel up and got both sides to fit nicely (this took some time!!) Shown still needing a fettle here and there. There was a bit of rust on the flange so that got replaced and i made up another section of sill/rear quarter to repair last of rust in this area!

Had a couple of hours on this today. Chopped the rest of the rot out, made and fitted the remaining bits to make it all complete Then filled in all the gaps in the welds and smoothed it all off ready for a splodge of filler.
