Photography Project (Read 208 times)

I'm looking to find owners of some cars for a photography project I've set myself. There was a book written a few years ago called 'crap cars' and in it the author lists what he thinks are the 50 worst cars ever made. The aim of my project is to tell the other side of the story, find 50 people who love these cars, interview the owners and photograph them and the cars.

I need to find owners of the following
Datsun 120Y (my dad used to own a few of these)
Nissan Sunny Coupe
Nissan Serena

Would any of you be willing to take part? I live in Lancashire so ideally somebody who lives near me (but I'm more than willing to travel if needed) and I'd like to do the meetup at a car show that the owner would be attending anyway.

i was given that book. i binned it pretty quickly....

there was quite a few cars in there that i thought were pretty good so i'm liking your idea.

what age/model sunny coupe?
i'm sure the 120Y was the classic B210 shape.

There are quite a few cars in the book that I like as well. I'm going to let those who I feature add their own comments for their car to my copy the book.

yes the 120Y is the B210 - photos in the book match these - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Sunny#B210_series

I think one of my teachers had one on a D plate

The book is a bit vague when i comes to identifying specific models so I'm having to figure a few out.

Great, I'll put you down for the 120Y.

Also because I'm thinking of producing a book for this I'm supposed to get model and property releases signed. I'm just dotting the Is and crossing the Ts, it's something I've been advised to do just to make sure I have everything covered.

Where about in Lancashire do you live, I live in Leyland so I'm fairly central. If you let me know when you're planning on having the car out somewhere I'll come along.

wouldn't it be a better idea to use your estate? seeing as how it looks great and it's original and the saloon is quite modified.

Gary ShahTZ is local to you and has a few models and I guess part of your prayer is answered. he has anumber of models B21 saloon and estate, 610 Saloon and CoupeSSS, A10SSS, B110 and a Cedric. Please keep us updated on the progress..
