Hi, i'm Dom I'm from the Midlands (Shropshire) and now live in Bristol. I'm 33 and a Naval Architect. I've had an urge to own an old Datsun for years now, and now i think the time has come for me to take the plunge. I'm looking out for one to use as a daily driver, as i dont have any more garage space (2 other Jap cars and a mini), plus the UK needs more cool and unique cars on its roads, and not just on the 2 sunny weekends we get. The models i'm interested in are the B210/120Y coupe, and also the cherry coupe (100a, or X1R in Japan), although i think i'll be looking for a long time before i find one of those. I expect it would be a matter of importing one from Japan, but they are hugely popular over there and 10k is about the going rate for a good one. Hope its not too early for a couple of questions, but what should i expect to pay for a decent B210/120y coupe with MOT, and should i be fussy about engine choice? I'm guessing these dont come up for sale very often so cant be choosy anyway.. so based on other japanese cars of this era that i've owned or known of, i'll be expecting the typical sprinkling of rust, dash of mold, garnish of flaking paint and other peculiarities that our island climate adorns our cars with.

hello and welcome. i'd deff go for a B210 over an E10 for daily use, F11 are a fair bit better over the E10 though IMO and the F11 120A coupe is a very good car.
very hard to put a price on any of them. if your talking B210 2door or coupe on the road then anything from £1500 to £5000
truth is, buy the best you can afford as it's cheaper then trying to make a poor car good.

Has a fair few miles and some body repair according to the owner. But 12 months MOT so thats a start.
