I have one for my Thunderbird for when a bunch of us go out on a long drive. Just for a really. I got an old chrome one off ebay, but I bought the aerial from Thunderpole.co.uk. Very few people use them these days so unless you know others who have them you may struggle to find people to chat to

You'll need to "slide on the side" and watch for the "Smokies" - "10-4 Rubber duck"

Go for it! After all its pukka period 70's & 80's isnt it? You only need one other CB user to talk to. However I wonder what the legal position might be - if it is illegal to use a mobile phone will use of a CB radio whilst driving have potential to be an offence? I cant remember when I last saw one of those long fibre glass aerials (whiplash?) that were commonplace in early 80's. Or indeed when I l;last saw a leaf sprung car jacked up at the back thank goodness. Ed
