An owner of a Nissan Laurel told me someone broke into the car, smashed off the steering lock then fled when the car wouldn't start. The car had been retrofitted with a transponder immobiliser which stopped the car from being started.
BE WARNED. There's scum everywhere.

just shows, even a simple immobiliser can save a car from theft.
