Does anyone know what bushes , preferably polyurethane, that I can use to replace the original rubber ones on the radius arms/Rods of a B210 120y? There is never usually dimensional info available with aftermarket parts, just wondering if a set of readily available bushes for another model would fit?

S130 (280ZX) bushes should fit.

well there are two versions of the B210, early and late. with slightly different front suspension/brakes.
easy way to tell difference is early cars have front drop sump, late ones are center drop sump.

I would go to the Whiteline Australia website .This should have the b210 details and also bush sizes etc
You can get the poly bushes from Super-Pro as well . Try the main importer/UK distributor who normally carries stock.

Cool, I was wondering if there was a difference. Mine is a centre drop sump ('77) but I had a '74 2door years back which I swear was different, that would explain it I have tried buying 280zx bushes this morning but with a 2-3 week lead time I have had to cancel the order but this was with a UK stockist not the importer. Super pro only lists one size for the 120y sedan which I think are the smaller ones. I may try the importer

But beware that Australian cars are sometimes subtly different to European - I fell foul of Superpro rack mount bushes for my 910 that appear to be for a large diameter rack than on my car. Another option is that some garages (I know of just one - in Durham area) will turn bushes on a lathe from poly material. I have only ever heard of one such garage though - I suspect such materials and workshops are rare and maybe confined to old school restorer or motor sport types.

I have access to a lathe (and I'm a fitter/turner) but don't have any materials suitable.
I just checked whiteline and it seems they only offer the smaller bushes too. I think mine are about 48/50mm o/d by about 25 long but I can't be sure till I get home and measure them, the dimensions listed by super pro for the 280zx ones look to be much closer than what is listed for the 120y

If the LCA's are adjustable, the extra track width should not be a problem ?

The control arms are standard plus I couldn't get away with any extra track width otherwise I'd never tuck my wheels in Just had a measure up and the 280zx bushes would fit fine (thanx al). I've just got to find some. Despite being told by a superpro dealer earlier that there would be a 2 week wait the distributor told me it would be 5 weeks (he also let me know he told a certain supplier that earlier too). I think I might just put it together with the stock rubber bushes and get some poly ones on order.

I had my father in law get some from South Africa most of which fit when Will and I put them on. Loads of Datsun stuff down there but again need to be careful of the models, lots of local variations assembled in SA. Great country for old Datsuns.
