A few months ago I took the A10 in for it's 2-yearly service (the garage I have been using for the last 25+ years refused to do it yearly as they said it hadn't done enough miles ) and they found that one of the fuel pipes was split causing it to run lean. They replaced it (see... it IS worth getting the pro's to look at them now and again ) and then it was running too rich. They showed me where the adjuster was and on this model it is enclosed with a pipe type cover with a slot in it. They had tried an old Datsun tool to adjust it but it was seized solid. Thus, they showed me what to do and stated that I should free it off with penetrating fluid. Eventually it was freed off and during this time, guess what? Good old Fleabay came up with this. Would you believe it? Won, purchased and used. I thought you might like a look. The Haynes manual says you can adapt a screwdriver but this is the real thing. Amazing luck. Sorted, cushtie!

Not sure but I believe it is. Wise words from yourself.... "we've gotta remember that even though our cars may work well, they are getting pretty old. so fuel lines, brake pipes, and brake fluid, should be checked and/or replaced.
you can't just expect a yearly 45min MOT test to judge how safe your car is.
you need to check it throughly over yourself on a regular basis and/or have someone do it for you.Read more: datsunclubuk.proboards.com/thread/1571/leaking-sss-carbs#ixzz2afELCxHBLeigh (Area rep)

I have one of those tools too (on permy loan from a pal - he will never see another Nikki carb!). However it kept getting jammed in the adjuster of my 910 because of the angle it has to go on at and the extension bar needed - meaning that the air cleaner had to be removed in order to extract the adjuster. So I bought a long fexible screwdriver type tool when I spotted it om Ebay - that does the job on my car better. Ed
