i recived an email and a phone call asking for help finding a car to use in a documentary....
My name is Laura Robinson & I'm a Researcher for Manchester based television production company, Title Role. I hope this finds you well.
I'm hoping you can help me. We're currently producing a documentary series for Foxtel in Australia and their broadcaster here in the UK. As part of these documentaries we film drama reconstructions to go alongside the interviews.
Occasionally we need particular cars to use as props within these drama reconstructions. On this occasion I'm looking for a light coloured Datsun Station Wagon (anything around the 1969 mark ) or something that has a similar look.
I wondered if any of your members who are based in or around the Greater Manchester have anything suitable? If so, I'd be grateful if you could pass on my details to them if they would like more information. Below is a picture of the car I’m hoping to find, as I know my descriptions can be vague!
Many thanks,
Laura.

Hmmm... thats not going to be an easy task. Can't be many pre 70's estates knocking around. They might have to do what TV companies normally do and use a car with age related plates.

Joncedric has a 130 cedric on a 'J/71 but could easily pass as a earlier model. I think its the only original UK 130. They imported them just as estates into the UK, but I think a few saloons may have made it right at the start.

That was taken a long time ago at Eds, perhaps 7/8 years ago. The Cedric was put under cover not long after I took the snap and hasn't deteriorated further. Not sure about the C110's status. I think it was a fairly rotten car.
