Welcome. Looks nice enough and it's history is a bonus. If you suck your teeth long enough I'm sure the price will drop a fair bit. I don't recall these being the most popular model with the boot.

That car was for sale at nearly £3k back in March, so the price is certainly going in the right direction. I reckon it's there or thereabouts at that, but someone talking nicely and with cash in their pocket could see it come down a little more.
I think you've covered the main points, where you really need to look at the inner arches is in the boot - with the saloon it's pretty easy as there's no panels to hide anything.
The saloon was the most popular of the B11 range, but they sold nearly 60k of the 1.3 models compared to 37k 1.5s. 1.5SGL is as good a trim level as we got in the UK.
