Hi all! I want you to show one of my Cherry's. It's a 1.5GL with 5-speed manual from 1986. I bought this car in november 2007 from the first owner. The car had at that moment about 70.000 miles on the clock. She looked terrible...: Well, in the main time the car has now allmost 105.000 miles. She looks a lot better right now: But to be honest... The car looks fine in the pictures but actually she is getting tired. The basecoat is faded away, rust spots on the roof and under the front window, wheel arches are toast and the doors and wings are bad. To make a long story short: she needs a restore! And thats what she will get in the winter of 2013-2014! Loads of plans with the car: -full respray inside and outside -engine overhaul -complete new arches I already have a lot of bits: -2 good doors -2 new front wings -interior parts -repair parts for wheel arches etc While searching for parts i found a E16S engine from a B12 coupe with only 75.000miles on the clock. My 1.5 is using oil (1L on every 2000km) and a E16S is a nice and easy upgrade. I already had a hi-tech 4-1 exhaust manifold which will go on to make it even more powerfull. The E16S will get a complete rebuild before it will go in. Today i got the first parts for the rebuild: The next few months i will give you guys some updates about the restauration. Regards! Rens

Good luck! Great to see someone restoring one of these.
We didn't get the E15 engine in N12 except the turbo (and maybe some automatics?).

It was worth the effort, the car looks great and it can only look better. Have you seen Eddie Rattley's old one? www.ratdat.com/?p=124
