My experience of my 1986 T12 2.0 would be as follows
Pros: Incredibly comfy seats and good ride Excellent visibility, easy to park Lots of interior and boot space Has never broken down, feels like it will go on forever Rust resistant and easy to work on Very smooth engine and strong cold start. Barely feels like it has a carb at all
Cons: Fuel economy Not remotely quick or sporty, but never claims to be
I'd highly recommend one, and it's a shame that they're rather unloved and unwanted, as I've found when trying to sell mine.

We just got the odd U12 as a grey import, I have a photo of a black hardtop which I think is still around. Have seen a mid '90s Bluebird of some sort too, not a particularly attractive car however. I rate these highly, my two were excellent as daily drivers and if I was in the need of transport they would be on my list of stuff to look out for. A GSXi or Executive with the CA20E engine would be perfect.
