hi guys..
brand new battery installed was fine last time i fired her up. today it took 5 attempts and then when u give it gas it wants to stop running
nothibgs been touched since ive had her

very hard for anyone on here to give you an accurate answer. there's not enough info and such a wide range of possible causes.

Do the usual tests: check whether you get ignition from spark plugs, check distributor whether it works, check & clean carburator, clean air filter or remove the air filter altogether, adjust ignition timing and if it still doesn't work try putting gas directly into the carburator. It could be that the gas pump isn't working.
Also you could try cleaning the injector nozzles by changing the ignition order. Then try running the engine for only a second or two. It should backfire some gazoline into the injectors and burn/blow out the injectors clean. This is what I have done to my A12 when it didn't run quite as it should.

thanks mate, will do what I can myself, cars due a service but i reckon its to do with the timing if anything, also lad bought the car from gave me some spacer tool ive forgotten what he had said to do :0
