Had problems with front right calliper sticking on to the point that the disk was glowing red. Have replaced calliper, disk and pads, bled it all back up but still seem to have the problem, any ideas, could it be the compensator,if so were to get one.

Fairly common fault on lots of cars. Could well be that the piston/s are sticking.... pump them out and then "polish" them lightly with wire wool or fine wet & Dry. In two cases that I had, it was simply a tiny spec of surface "rust" that was causing the problem. Make sure you replace the dust seals if they are torn or missing.

Could well be a collapsed hose. What you could try if the calliper is difficult to push back loosen the bleed nipple and try pushing the calliper back then. If easy most likley hose

I have now replaced the flixi hoses and front callipers.Still getting the same problem,if I bleed the full system it releases the brakes but as soon as I take it on a test the problem comes back.It seem like the system is pressurising in some way.It seems to happen within a mile or so.

could it be the servo coming and staying on? could try a test drive with it disconnected just to try it. you'd just have to be careful driving without it as your braking will be reduced

Yep,have even tried that Al.Seems that the whole system is locking up and the foot pedal goes hard.Leave it to cool for ten minutes or so and you can go again until it locks again.Thought it was just one brake origionally but appears to be all round.

was there a pressure regulator in the system?
maybe you'll need to get a professional mechanic to check it over.

Looks like I am looking for a servo unit...just been trying a few things, found that when I take the master cylinder off of the servo the brakes are freed up,put it back on and apply the brakes and it starts to lock up again after a few applications. Take the master cylinder away from the servo and it is fine again.Doesnt matter if the pipe is on the servo or not,the push pin doesn't go back all the way in so seems to be keeping pressure on the master cylinder.

that looks like Ed's old car have you tried removing the servo and seeing if you can replicate it sticking out with the car?
