Was contacted yesterday by a classic car club who were trying to get a valuation on a car that got stolen last year.
i'm awaiting more details on thee car a 1982/3 bluebird GL 5 speed 4 door. think they said south London.
i'm posting this up more as a warning to owners that these cars are still getting pinched, so please sort out some security. alarms and immobilisers are ok but if you really value your car, i'd recommend sort some of tracker, the prices of these has really come down in price now and is possibly the best way of getting your pride and joy back.

Sad to hear this and quite scary. Hope it's found, will keep an eye out of any being broken. Know the colour?

I wonder if its a tatty burgundy one in the SW postcode. If it is, I can post a picture of it to help people identify it.
Alarms, trackers and immobilisers are good deterrents but nothing secures a car better than keeping it away from prying eyes. Council garage rents are about £500-£600 a year, if you're not lucky enough to have one on your property.

Same as when mine was nearly stolen about 2 years ago. The only deterrent was me going mental once I realised it had someone in it trying to start it and drive away. I don't leave it anywhere for long no more and it's now garaged.
