Time to get the ball rolling for this section.
First of all the s12 came in two variants in the UK called the MK1 or MK2.
The MK1 was produced between 1984 and the fourth quarter of 1986. It came with one main engine option and that was the CA18ET a fuel injected SOHC turbo engine which produced around 130hp. A limited edition version of the MK1 was made which had the option of a twin cam FJ20DE engine which was an EFI twin cam naturally aspirated engine which produce around 155 horsepower. It is believed that there were less than 100 sent to the UK figure reporting around 70. There are believed to be only around 11 remaining (source s12oc).
The MK2 was the last of the s12's it came with exterior and interior revisions and came with the CA18ET engine.
Interior Revisions:
MK1 Orange interior changes to a grey interior with grey dash. The steering wheel is also changed The MK1 one had a strip of warning lights on the passengers side of the dashboard this was dropped from the MK2
Exterior Revisions:
MK1 had a honeycomb style grille this was changed for the MK2 to a slated (blind like) design On the MK2 the front and rear bumper were extended and the rubbers were raised to a 1.75 inch height The MK1 had a flat bonnet and the MK2 has a bulge (not to mistaken with the one from the FJ20 model) The MK2 has shorter corner lights at the front The MK2 rear lights also had a different pattern.
There is some stuff i have probably forgotten
