The heater in my T72 is pretty rubbish, hardly any heat, even now, so hate to think what it'll be like in winter...
i've replaced the thermostat and it gets up to temp just fine and i've backflushed through the heater matrix and that's clear.
wondering if anyone has one that works well as standard? before i start trying to improve it myself....

It should work great. My Bluebird (T12, CA20S) is HOT, like a sauna. Are you sure the heater-valve opens when you adjust from cold to hot? Might be loose or might be re-adjusted?

i checked that and there doesn't seam to be one. all that moves is a flap in the heater box, so i assume the water flow is constant and the air is just diverted.
any chance of pics of where the heater pipes are in your engine bay? and where they plumb into the engine? mine comes from a take off at the front face of the engine block, fairly low and i'm sure that's not ideal...

i've had a load more of the dash outr and checked the haynes book of lies. it shows there is a heater tap. but it's located between the heater box and the bulkhead.... seams i need to remove it all to adjust. so that will be a complete dash out job.
i'll prob leave it for now and concentrate on other jobs and get back to that in a few months.
