didn't think the UK C130 had a 5 speed? the C230,C31,C32,etc etc all do. and i'd imagine they're all different.

i can tell you that the L series gearbox fifth gear is taller then the forth in a 4 speed box.

Highest ratio fifth i know of is the late S130, if that make any difference....? no idea if the C31 or C32 fifth is taller...?

It's not something I can check immediately, but I do have the info somewhere. C31 and C32 do have taller (numerically lower) 5th gear ratio, but I think they have the shorter 'box which isn't a direct swap into the older 4-speed models.

Here is a couple links showing gearbox ratios by year ,, these are mostly Z cars as we didn't get Laurel but if engine is front to back configuration they should be somewhat applicable..

Ment to add that the 200sx in 3rd link would be the shorter dogleg 5speed type transmission. As someone mentioned yours might be the shorter type of transmission.

Thanks for the responses lads.

From what I have since learnt is that the 5 speed box from a C210 Laurel should fit my C130, it's ratio' s from 1st to 4rth I believe Are the same as the 4speed box with its 5th gear ratio being 0.8 .... please correct if I'm wrong.

a C210 is a 240K skyline rather then a laurel.

pretty much any L series 5 speed from any similar aged Nissan should fit. only one's i think that don't are the dogleg box from an A10 Violet. but obviously ask here (or give Datman a call) to check before spending.

i'd have thought the most likely place to find a 5 speed would be from a rusty S130 being broken... but would think you'll be competing with the S30 owners too...
