Have you tried Dave from The GTR Shop ? If you still have no luck, I might have one other person who may be able to help, I will ask him and get back to you on here.

You can request the ownership history of a car from the motor vehicle office in Japan. The dealer/exporter, take it your car came from Dave? He should be able to get this info for you at a fee.

Apparantly it costs £35 and you get original Japanese documents with the recorded mileage. I am just waiting for my mate to pass me the info and will post it here.

Did you look into this?
I've spoken to them about tracing the history of mine, this is what they come back with:
what we can offer is called an 'ownership document' - which is available from MLIT (office of transport) in japan and details the full history of registrations and owners of the vehicle in Japan.
this document will get you a date of first registration, and list all owners and registrations thereafter. it also lists the vehicles month of production. if the vehicle was registered in japan after 2004/2005 mileage details may also be listed.
we scan and email the document with a full translation in english and can post you the original. cost of this service is $65 USD.
I'm going to pay the money and see what they dig up, I'll report back if you've not already gone for it yourself.

Hi Don,
They're working on tracing it for me now, not having much luck yet, but no money has changed hands yet so I guess once they find something then they'll send me the bill.
I'll keep you informed.

Sorry my lead came up Blank as it was his importer who he paid to get the info and that looks a long winded procedure.
The lead Randy posted up seems a good bet I suppose.
RANDY any update from this enquiry you made?
