Hi all,
I am trying to squeeze good brakes on a budget into 13" wheels. I am using a 280ZX strut. At the moment I don't mind the 280ZX caliper and standard disc but I am thinking that a 250mm vented disc from a T72 Bluebird might work, along with Wilwood Dynalite Narrow calipers on a bracket.
Firstly, has anybody got a 250mm vented Bluebird disc spare?
Secondly, has anybody got a decent four pot caliper into 13" wheels on a Datsun strut? Metro Turbo calipers? Wilwood? Princess? Lighter the better.

There was a B110 on here that had the S130 struts and brakes and managed to get 13 inch alloys on, so it is possible, with some fettling, depending on the wheels themselves
larger diameter discs will give the best braking, so anything in a 13inch rim will be limited...
Willwoods have gotta be the best option here? lightweight and slim fit.
Oh and as far as I'm aware, all the old shape metros had 4 pot calipers, some (not just the turbo) had vented discs as well.

You're thinking the same as me. Wilwoods definitely and I had considered Metro Turbo calipers but apparently they are very heavy. I got the 280ZX calipers to fit no problem. The 280ZX disc is 252mm.
Has anybody changed the disc fitment on the 280ZX strut? I have found a few discs that are 114.3 and same diameter but 280ZX discs have a funny fitment with the four bolt holes rather than a soup bowl shape like other discs.

I have AP Monte carlos on my B310 with 13" wheels they are unbelievable and there is a huge choice of pads but they are not cheap ! You can also get Brembo F3 calipers in a 13" wheel, the Irish rally Escorts use these on the rear and are a cheaper option than APs. Probably not much help if you're on a budget either ! Wilwoods are ok for road use but have a reputation for flexing when hot in competition
