Hi everyone. Looks like im about embark on doing a deal with my current classic ( Triumph Herald ) for a lovely 1965 Bluebird 114 Deluxe. Its a bit of a one-off im told as its in near immaculate condition with a mear 10,000 kms ( yup its imported from Japan so is RHD.) Just wondering if anyone on here has much knowlage on these cars and maybe could also tell me if they are rare over here. Told it 'could' be the only one in the UK.!! Cheers . Alex.

There was a brown one on eBay for £20k earlier on in the year so that's 3.

Nigel Bickle is the 411 man. He has/had two of them - one from Oz and one that came from Finland. That silver one on eBay looks nice. That would make 3 in the UK to my knowledge. Straightforward mechanics, I think it's the J series engine isn't it which was developed from the BMC B series unit? Most I've seen are 1200 or 1300cc. It's a lovely Italianate design, one of my favourite 60s Japanese cars.

Lower front ball joints are virtually nonexistent,, so make sure those are tip top before you purchase. I have seen them rebuilt but they cost $270. USD a piece, plus shipping, exchanged.
