Hi guys

I have just joined the Datsun club and need some advice from you.

I have a Datsun 1200 back in Zimbabwe which has been in the family since new.  It has been in underground parking for 7 years and I am looking to import it to the UK.  I've been living in the UK for 15 years now.  I have found out that it will cost me £2500 to ship it over.

The vehicle is standard, it runs, it has all its badges and emblems, it has alloys, small steering wheel, front door wind breakers, and a rear window louver.  There are no seat belts, it does not have a heater which I'm sure with your help I can find and get that sorted.  There are a few rust spots but I am planning to rubberise and re spray it once it is over here to protect it from the English weather. It also runs on leaded fuel only.

I don't think there are many 4 door Datsuns around compared to other models.  So, do you think this is something worth my while to do? Are parts available? Would I make my money back from shipping it over and reconditioning it if I were to then sell it?
