Hi guys,
Firstly apologies if I am posting in the wrong section. I've joined this forum in the hope to gain some knowledge and roots into finding myself a Datsun 510/1600 SSS. I currently own a 502bhp Nissan 350z Twin Turbo and live in Hampshire area. I've always been a fan of the old Datsuns, most favourable the 240z and 510.
I was wondering if anyone here owns a Datsun 510, and best places to find these rare cars for sale in the UK.
Many thanks, Ashley

Hi Ashley, welcome to Datsun Club UK.
A few owners are still active on this forum, I think one or two might actually have working cars!
What's your budget?

Hi Randy I hope to speak to one as I'm still yet to meet one haha or even see a 510 in the flesh! Budget can vary. I've seen ones abroad for £2-4k and much cleaner examples for over £12k+ Ideally want a project than fully restored, but obviously not bare shell as I imagine parts aren't very easy to get..

I'd never seen one until almost a year after I had mine shipped over from Japan! It's actually hidden away in Hampshire at the moment until I have a home over here to keep it in. I've only seen one other and that's Jon's US 2 door sedan. Lovely looking and sounding car.
£2-4k for one from Portugal is probably about right, if you want a RHD then look at Oz or even South Africa and Import one. You could get under £10k for a project. The price of them in Japan has gone nuts!

I would much prefer a RHD, seeming as it is Jap, its only right for it to be. I prefer a 2 door but if a 4 door popped up at right time, I wouldn't turn it down.

Good man! My ideals are the same, JDM car has to be RHD. Some cool 4 doors out there. A load of importers, just got to find one you trust and can work with, or, do it yourself? I'll PM you my number, can have a natter some time, I'm about next week playing cars so if you're free and can pop over come take a look and I'll show you what to look out for.
