Does anyone know of any straightforward upgrade and supplier on front springs for my 1979 A10 160J sss? I want something firmer as braking brings on a fair bit of dipping that I'd like to eliminate. New shocks are already in place.

Monroe shocks. When the car went in for fitting the garage commented on how spindley the springs were and their spring compressor tool wound them up with no effort.

Leigh (Area rep) The garage should have recommended you to change springs if they had concerns. Now you pay the labour again? With due respect, Monroe shocks aren't exactly brilliant. I would have tried to find a set of gas struts made by KYB\Koni\Bilstein etc. Google up King springs, they do aftermarket stiffer and lowered springs for the PA10 and they have EU distribtors. Another option is whip off the factory springs and send them away to a spring manufacturer who can make up bespoke units.
