I know a non working clock is nothing new but mine was working, just loses time over a period. Well, when I went to hange the time it hasn't worked since so I guess I pulled something loose. So how the hell do I get the clock out of the dash?

If I recall correctly, you have to push the centre knurled knob in to turn the hands. This disengages the hands from the mechanism. It could be that the hands are now stuck in the disengaged position. Try tapping the knob to release it or pulling it out slightly. PS. The 120Y clock (amongst others) is infamous for losing time. Mine used to lose about 5 minutes every week. Slightly annoying.

Is it a clock in the dash pod or is it the type next to the radio?

It's in the dash pod. I had to pull out the knob to change the time. It is now clearly disengaged from any mechanism.

There are two types of mechanism on 120y clocks , the early cars had a electromechanical winding mechanism, quite crude, a motor winds a spring and everytime the spring runs out, a contact operates the motor to rewind the spring. the later type had a pulse generator circuit that kept the escapement moving. Take it apart and you will see what type and maybe get it looked at
assuming of course your cigar lighter works, as they are on the same circuit
