Hi folks
Im looking for some advice please , i have a 1972 Reliant regal supervan 3 ... the same as Delboys yellow 3 wheeler .. now were after an engine and box rear wheel drive to convert it to , we want a nissan engine or Datsun as there very reliable and could possibly fit the regal van ... it now has the rialto 850 engine in , but its overheating alot and not enough power ... i can explain further ... my reliant is a funeral hearse .. it tows a trailer .. which is another reliant converted .. you can visit my website and tou will see my set up .. its just not powerful enough , my mate is jap engine mad , and states and older rear wheel drive will do the job ...so im hoping somebody could help us out with any ideas ..

Interesting project! You might be lucky and find an A12 engine and gearbox out of a 120Y or Sunny that someone is upgrading. This is a fairly simple OHV engine.
A more available alternative would be the Mazda MX5 unit.
