WOW!What a find. Judging by the previous restoration, this vehicle is lucky to have found it's way into your hands. We will all look forward to another superb restoration with lots of pictures....please? ......and it's right hand drive... sell it to me when it's done.

Right now I'm busy with my 510 Wagon (goes into the paint shop this week) so this restore is going on the "waiting list" In the meantime I am already searching for parts which need replacing, the most difficult being the rear light lenses ...

That's great! Can people up in the Scandinavian countries assist with parts? I saw one when we visited Norway and presume they were sold there when new.

Just bought this super rare Datsun 1300 Panel Van in need of restore ... The rear side windows were an adaption to comply with local law to accomodate five seats ... Good ol' J13 should be no problem ... So does that rear side panel come out by loosening those clamp like things?? I have seen a few of these type vehicles posted on the internet coming out of Central America ( Costa Rica , Nicaragua, Panama) mostly UTE type vehicles but rear seems the same shape, so maybe that is somewhere to look for tail lights also.

This is an original "panel van" with fixed side panels as opposed to the "ute/pickup" version - hence the rear lights are different but are the same as the glass-sided "van"

Those are the exact same tail-lights as mine! You just happened to pick a very rare ute as example because the "pickup" normally use the horizontal type tail-lights.
