Hi everyone,
I`ve been following the forum for some time, but this is my first thread and hopefully I`ve posted it in the right section.
Straight to the point, I`m in the process of buying a USA title 280z but wanted to make sure that all documents are in place. The seller bought the car in USA and imported it into UK back in 2016. The car has been MOT`ed and driven in UK, but is still on California plates and not registered with DVLA.
He`s got the following documents: - document of sale in USA - original USA title - expired UK MOT certificate - receipts from shipping company ( one says only VAT and the other seems to be for the car to be released from port/customs)
What is missing is the NOVA registration and also I`m not sure if all duties are paid as none of the shipping receipts mention either duties paid or HMRC.
So the million dollar question is - can the vehicle be registered in DVLA whit this, or do I need to apply for NOVA registration.
I would much appreciate if anyone can help with this.
Many Thanks Nash

Hi, Nash. There are some members who have imported but who may not be frequent readers of the forum. I suggest you send a private message to Datman (who has imported). Go to MEMBERS at the top of the page; search DATMAN and click on his name. Then go to ACTIONS and use the drop down to SEND MESSAGE. Hopefully he'll get the e-mail and respond to your question. Good luck.
