Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help me, I’m trying to trace my granddads Datsun 180b as far as I can find it was last taxed in 1990! So a bit of a long shot According to the dvla it’s not been scrapped or written off so I’m holding out some hope! My Nan has just be diagnosed with a terminal illness so finding this car would be a dream come true as my granddad has been gone quite some time now! Any help would be greatly appreciated! The reg is Xmc742t and it’s a silver Datsun 180b estate
The car was around the Surrey area when it was last known, maybe someone can point me to the right person who might be able to help in some way, sorry if this is in the wrong section

It's not impossible that it's still stored away somewhere, but sadly I fear it will have been scrapped. It's only been the last 10 years or so that DVLA remove a car from their online database when a Certificate of Destruction has been issued. Before then, even if you notified them it'd been scrapped they still left it on there.
Good to hear that it was fondly remembered.
