Well, I'll be jiggered! I drove the SSS to Marlow yesterday and they still serve 4-star petrol at Platts. Mind you, I drove off the forecourt when I saw it priced up at £1.79 per litre!!!
Perhaps it's cheaper to buy an additive?
Perhaps, also to remind you all to check your rubber fuel lines due to the ethanol content rotting them out. Replace them with proper fuel line marked R6.
Another classic TR4a went up in flames recently and the fuel pump rubber elbow in my Rover SD1 crumbled to bits only a couple of weeks ago but didn't cause any fire issues as the fuel pump is mounted in the tank. Phew!
