www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Other-Vehicles-/33752/i.html?_fspt=1&clk_rvr_id=384653311458&_mPrRngCbx=1&_nkw=datsunIf you buy this or similar without the V5 you could end up racing a stolen vehicle. How many of you would check?
We had a post a few years back where a member's beautifully restored blue Datsun (can't recall the model) was spotted at a race track after it had been stolen and stripped. The race organisers do not, apparently, check any entrants vehicles to see if they are stolen or of any other interest to the Police. Be advised!

i've brought and sold cars that i haven't had docs for, i bet Datman has too. doesn't mean any of them were stolen.
there will always be cars with no V5 heading for the track as well, but that doesn't mean they are stolen either.
if we (the classic car lot) are to ever get the racers to work with us we must be very carefull about how we go about it.
the only way to stop cars being stolen for racing is for the race organisers to keep track of all the cars VIN's that turn up for racing. that way they can be checked against a stolen database.
and the only way thats going to happen is if they are forced to do so, or if they want to.
and remember, not every classic car that does get stolen is headed for the track. some were getting exported, others are getting stripped and there parts sold on to classic car guys.
